Do you want to live a life without criticism, judgment and bad conscience?

A utopia, maybe? Boundless optimism? An unattainable dream? Yes, I thought so, too. It was so common to hear people say "you don't understand anything!", "She is so hard to deal with", "yes, he has always been like that - he only thinks of himself" - and much, much more that is worse. Yes, "ordinary" it was, as of the word "habit". And it was not thus said neither natural nor compulsory. I have a deep belief that all people do their very best all the time, based on the knowledge, skills, energy and capacity they have there and then. And then we have learned to criticize, judge and embarrass ourselves and practice for so long that it has become a habit, and we get lots of help from politicians, social debates and the media. This verbal violence therefore becomes "common". And so you don't want it? When I discovered nonviolence communication (IVK), it changed my life, as it has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands around the world. With IVK, we take back the natural and practice it massively, until it is what is usual: A life without criticism, judgment and bad conscience. Do you join?

Old habit used to turn: What is IVK?

American psychologist Marshall B. Rosenberg grew up in Detroit and witnessed much violence during the racial riots in the 1960s and when he himself got to know it on the body with a Jewish surname. Rosenberg also witnessed something else that really inspired him. He saw that people who had gone through the same suffering and violence could respond in vastly different ways. While some World War II survivors wanted revenge on the Germans and brought anger and bitterness to the grave, other survivors who wanted reconciliation, would forgive and move on in life. Thus, with the same pain and suffering, they chose a different life. This inspired Rosenberg to develop nonviolence communication (IVK), based on Gandhi's nonviolence philosophy (ahimsa). With rooted in the natural human, he systematized the interaction of people based on something we all have in common - regardless of age, gender identity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, culture and background: emotions and needs. Through emotions and needs we can more easily understand each other and see each other's intention, without violence, criticism and blame. An old habit is bad to turn around, and IVK invites us to try just that. And then, as Marshall said, we are invited to practice, practice, practice ...
